In the 2000 draft, the Cavs were again picking at #8. Having taken Andre Miller and Trajan Langdon the year before, the Cavs opted to go for need over best available, even if it had to make a trade to do it. That meant that Jamal Crawford, considered a top 5 player in this draft class, would be dealt for Chris Mihm.
