We welcome "Reverend Dr. Ashley" to the Bougie Den as we discussed the question, "Has the black church changed post pandemic"?  Since the pandemic, has the idea of church changed for you?  Would you rather stream from the comfort of your own home versus the assembly of the saints?? Church typically provides a corporate experience; however, is it more about your religious walk or the actual church (brick and mortar)? Did the pandemic allow you to get right with God, but reveal your true feelings about the church? Many of us experience church through obligation or ritual and not see that its about God's love.  Most parishioners have not returned and those who have have a different experience or thirst for God - or maybe even some of the pastors are exhausted.  Also, we discuss the recent blockbuster movie "Honk for Jesus.  Save your Soul!" which offers a lens into the dynamic of the black church as it navigates scandal.  Grab your water & turn it to wine - its a celebrate from on high!Send us a text
