Listen "Learn how to tame your negativity bias and boost your mood"

Episode Synopsis

Human beings are wired to be alert to things that might be harmful or dangerous and take evasive action, which means that we have a natural inclination to worry about everything that concerns us, even outside our control. This phenomenon is called a negativity bias. In normal times, our negativity bias is triggered by a poorly-crafted email, delays in travel or an awkward conversation. The resulting low mood, sense of frustration and stress are bad enough, but our negativity bias goes into overload in a crisis. Then our primitive survival instinct kicks in, tipping us into behaviour patterns driven by fear and anxiety. Shifting your mindset is the key to being in a more resourceful state. So how do you do this? In this episode of Bite-sized Coaching, certified coach Beverly Landais explores how you can bolster positivity and shares tips for dealing effectively with a negativity bias.  For bespoke coaching services, contact Beverly Landais at www.beverlylandais.co.uk
