The church remained faithful and desired to see Paul. He challenged the church to continue to grow in their love for one another and for all people. Believers are called to walk in holiness and love until the day Jesus returns. When Jesus returns, believers will follow those who have died in Christ and be with the Lord. Believers were told to be watchful for the day of Christ’s return. The day of His return is not known, but believers are called to always be prepared for His return. Paul called believers to maintain order in the church, respect those God has chosen to lead His church, to live at peace with one another, and to live a life of holiness and faithfulness to the Lord.
