We all have moments when we are not filled with joy, peace, and love. In fact, Paul is having one of those times while he writes this letter to the church in Corinth. His letters show a Paul who is concerned for them and who is calling them back to the gospel of grace that he had first proclaimed to them.We can feel the strain in these verses... the emotions are raw, but Paul does not give up on them. "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day."When you read through 2 Corinthians, you will see many of the same struggles we deal with in today's world.
