On Sunday, January 1, 2023, New Year’s Day, we joined together as a congregation to celebrate, in our first act of corporate worship, John Wesley’s Covenant Renewal Service. Since a sermon was not preached as part of this service, I thought we would share with you the audio of the liturgy we worked through in that service. This is the first week of our new series that we’re calling “Speaking with a Wesleyan Voice: Rediscovering our Methodist Tradition for Today.” In this series, we’re going to look at some of the distinctives of what makes us Methodist or Wesleyan and why it’s a voice that is needed in the world today.
