Listen "Episode 17"
Episode Synopsis
At the end of every podcast, I always say, “Your tongue has power. Use it for good.” It’s not easy for me to use my tongue for good when my thoughts aren’t so good. Over the past week or so, I was having a particularly hard time with the increasing duration and escalating restrictions of the COVID-19 quarantine. I confess that I was getting bitter about being forced into isolation. I struggled to renew my mind and guard thoughts, knowing my negativity wouldn’t be of any use if those not-so-good thoughts ended up on my tongue.
In the midst of my struggle, my gracious God gave me Psalm 118:6 to wrestle with. As I turned my focus on God’s enduring love, I was able to release my negative thoughts and use my tongue for good.
This week's scripture:
Psalm 118:5–6
