The Sunday gospel reading continues the sixth chapter of St John. This is one of the most profound teachings of Christ and it concerns a central doctrine of the Faith, namely, His real and substantial and complete presence in the Eucharist, in the Blessed Sacrament, in the tabernacle.Let us not grow cold or indifferent to the real presence of Christ but let every reception of Holy Communion advance our love for and devotion to Him.
