Listen "#77 - Lea Thomas"
Episode Synopsis
We sat down with Lea Thomas for this interview. She is fresh off the release of her album "Mirrors to the Sun," which came out on July 23. Lea spent some time in Vermont while recording this album. She transformed a house into a studio. It allowed her to get in touch with nature and sometimes go for a walk through the woods to clear her head. Nature was a big theme throughout this album. Also, the listeners see Lea's love for wolves appear in this release. The song Hummingbird is about a dream she had where she transformed into a wolf -- the full story is incredible and it opens the door to a full discussion about dreams. We also chatted about how Lea's musical journey first began on piano, how she is a visual artist who focuses on hand weaving and natural dyes, and her time spent learning about herbal medicine.
