On a remote generational ranch, a man begins to notice something is deeply wrong. It starts with a heavy, bone-rattling thud echoing from the basement every night—always the same time. Then come the shadows, creeping through hallways that should be empty. His bedroom door opens on its own, night after night, no matter how tightly he shuts it. But the worst comes when he wakes up paralyzed, unable to move, a crushing presence lurking in the room with him.

Is it the land? The house? Or something older that’s been waiting in the dark?
