Listen to Chad Hilsman story at 17 years old when he had to go under the knife to replace his UCL. He lost over a 1 of his youth in baseball repairing his arm which has made it very difficult for him to live his dream in this game. Youth arm injuries are still on the rise (see chart below) and the problem is the game is still poorly informed or educated on how to develop young throwing athletes.
