Ester Tapia is an awardee of the Gawad Balagtas for Cebuano Poetry (2019). She also won the Gawad Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (Unang Ganti for Cebuano Poetry). She is one of the authors of Duhawit (2018) and Sinug-ang (1999). She is actively publishing her works in KABISDAK, a website that is moderated by Michael Obenieta.
