The Model has 5 parts.
Circumstances
Thoughts
Feelings
Actions
Results
Circumstances are outside of you and factual. They are the situations of your life.
Circumstances trigger thoughts. Your thoughts are the meaning that you give to the facts.
Your thoughts create feelings/emotions.
Your feelings fuel your actions (or inaction).
Your actions create results. Or rather, your thoughts, feelings and actions create the results that you get in your life.
The circumstances are out of your control, but the rest of the model is within your control to change.
Spend the next week looking for your models. You are living them out everyday. Watch them happen. Look for the patterns and habits you have for the way you think, feel and act, and then in the next podcast we'll talk about how to interrupt your patterns!
