Versatile producer and DJ Matthias Harnitz from Hannover (UNESCO City of Music/Germany) is the musical mind behind the "m.age.project", amalgamating cross-genre electronic tunes out of the ordinary with diverse cultural influences and enchanting ethnic sounds. Starting out as a classically trained jazz piano player, he released a colorful bunch of globelectronica, classy deep house, latin lounge, trippy nu-jazz, chillout & meditation music on three full albums, several EPs and on more than a dozen compilations with labels like Sony Music, Zyx/Ayianapa, Baikal Nomads, Lump Records, Ohxalá Records, Shango Records, Nu Bohème Recordings and Peacelounge.

In 2013 Matthias Harnitz had the honor to compose and play music for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama which was performed with 400 kids in Hannover at an educational event concerning the future of children and the need for a Global Ethic.

With his 2017 album "Tattoo Tara" and his "Elemental EP" in 2018 "m.age." made a change of direction, now exploring the deeper realms of organic house and mystic ethno-electronic club music. With beard braids behind the turntables he successfully premiered his new sound at one of Europe's biggest worldbeat festivals, "Masala", in 2017. Today the m.age.project is manifesting as a highly appreciated gem for open-minded listeners, clubbers and fellow artists all around the globe!
