No one knows sweat like Mikkel Aaland. Since the 1970s, he has travelled the world learning and documenting sweat bathing cultures all around the world. And it all started with the Californian’s Norwegian roots. He’s an honorary member of the International Sauna Association and a board member of The Norwegian Sauna Association. So what does he think about the current development of the Norwegian badstue? And why is he now devoting his life to sending saunas to war torn Ukraine?
