Melissa Yelito is a mother of two, and a former teacher turned special education advocate. After seven years in the classroom, Melissa switched gears to dedicate herself to supporting families navigating the complex special education system.
Driven by her passion for ensuring all children have what they need to be successful in school, Melissa has partnered with over 80 families since starting her business, MY Advocacy LLC, in March of 2023. She has utilized her experience as a classroom teacher to support families in not only understanding what their child is entitled to, but also how to effectively communicate and collaborate with their child's educational team.
As an momtrepreneur, Melissa enjoys the flexibility of her role. She is able to be present for all of the little things in her daughters' lives - field trips, school concerts, ballet practice, preschool pick ups and drop offs, and everything in between; while modeling that being a mom and pursuing your professional dreams are not mutually exclusive.
