Backstage at The Naked Comedy Showcase 3/5/2020
This was recorded right before the pandemic of COVID-19 started to really affect lives throughout America. Due to the shut down of ImprovBoston and many other businesses and comedy clubs, there will be no March edition of The Naked Comedy Showcase.
This episode serves as a nice dose of normality for the podcast crew, and a great episode to enjoy while staying home and washing your hands. Matt Kona chats with the visiting original podcast producer Nick David, podcast favorite Dan Martin (whose album recording was postponed to another date in the future, so stay tuned!), Kevin Quigley, “Big D”, Jeff MacKinnon,Chris Connolly, first time Nick Martucci and very special guest Ryan Clauson. Ryan was a regular on the Boston Comedy scene, moved to L.A., toured colleges around the country, moved back to New Hampshire a while back and now pretty much only does comedy on this show. He’s an interesting guy, brought some musical instruments and we captured the audio of his set as well as a candid conversation after the official broadcast ended detailing the story of how he came to be booked on this particular show.
