Born during the time of the Ottoman Empire, he amassed a considerable fortune, much of which he donated to poor families, refugees, and public institutions. Thanks to his generosity, entire neighborhoods, schools, places of worship, and parks were established – including parts of the Sea Garden and churches. He supported not only Bulgarians,
He died in 1913, but his legacy lives on – in the heart of the city and in the memory of its people. Kodzhakafaliata is a symbol of selfless help.
