Welcome to The Awake and Sober Podcast, a podcast about Life in Recovery through Christ!
This week we will be continuing our 12 Step Series as we dive further into Step 3!
AA: Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we understood Him.
CR: We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.
You will notice some subtle differences in these steps as they pertain to their own program, but the message remains the same. We must turn ourselves over to the care of something greater than ourselves, for us it is Jesus Christ!
We will discuss what it means to truly surrender and give up our own wills in favor of what God has willed for us.

A mainstay of our recovery stories is being completely honest with our support teams but, most importantly, honest with ourselves. How do we do that?
The answer is simple: we journal about our experiences, ideas, and goals. If you are anything like us, that means you journal A LOT and take a bunch of notes, so don't you deserve a great writing instrument?
