A woman has sued Williamson County, claiming a deputy assaulted her when he responded to a domestic violence call. After her boyfriend choked her and left her apartment, the woman refused to let the deputy search her home, so the deputy grabbed her neck and threw her to the ground, according to the lawsuit. The incident happened in 2019. It is the eighth pending lawsuit against the county claiming excessive force was used by deputies during the tenure of former Sheriff Robert Chody. The county does not comment on pending lawsuits, said Connie Odom, a county spokeswoman.
