The Apostle Paul has introduced his letter to the church in the city of Corinth. Now, he gets right to the point. The first issue and difficulty he tackles is a lack of unity. A divided church is not a healthy church, and makes the spreading of the Gospel and of God´s love very difficult. What areas divided that church? Paul exhorts the believers to everyone give their allegiance to Christ alone because of what He did, not to anyone specific teacher or leader among them.
