God did not save you just to go to church on Sunday and be a nice person. He re-created you in Christ Jesus to do those good works which He Prepared ahead of time for you that you should walk in them living the good life He prepared and made ready for you to live that will fulfill the destiny He is given you. (Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬) But to do the good works He plan to fulfill your destiny requires God's power. That's where the Holy Spirit comes in to help. He gives you spiritual gifts to be a powerful demonstration of God's Love working through you to build up the body of Christ and strengthen God's people. The Holy Spirit distributes and operates the spiritual gifts as He chooses for each believer to bless the Body of Christ.
