Listen "Passion Week - Christ’s Death Gives You A New Life Blessed and Accepted by God"
Episode Synopsis
The prophet Isaiah foretold the Passover sacrifice of the Lamb of God more than 700 years before Jesus died on the cross. Isaiah details Jesus' last hours as one who was standing at the foot of the cross writing His prophecy in the past tense. (Isaiah 53:1-12) His words are referred to about eighty-five (85) times in the New Testament. Jesus is the only person in history who could fulfill all of Isaiah’s prophecy.Jesus carried your sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses and endured the torment of your sufferings, paying the sin price for your release by sacrificing His body on your behalf to dwell in God’s presence. (Isaiah 53:4, Colossians 1:21-22) Because of your sins, He was pierced and crushed; He endured your punishment to obtain peace, prosperity, wholeness, success, and well-being. And with the stripes that wounded Him, you find your healing and wholeness. (Isaiah 53:5, John 19:36-37, Revelations 1:7)Jesus became the sin offering for you (Ephesians 5:2) and died a criminal's death on the cross. (Luke 23:39) God put your sin on Him, Who never sinned, so that in and through Him you might be approved and acceptable and in right relationship with God through your union with Christ. A great exchange took place at the cross. All your sins were left there and all your guild removed forever, and you walked away with all God’s righteousness. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
