Listen "001: Relegalizing Middle Housing"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, I talk to Sean Edging, Housing Policy Analyst for the Department of Land Conservation and Development. We talk about House Bill 2001, why it was needed, and how cities can implement it. House Bill 2001 requires cities of certain population sizes to allow for "middle housing" types in areas zoned for single family residential. For example, a city with a population of 12,000 is now required to allow developers to build duplexes in single family residential areas.
