Welcome to a week of studying from Parashat Kedoshim. It is the 7th portion from the book of Leviticus and the 30th portion in the yearly shabbat reading of the Torah. This passage from Leviticus is part of a larger section known as the Separation Code, which outlines moral and religious laws for the Israelites, and in extension, any person who joins Israel in calling on Yahweh through His son Yehoshua the Messiah. Leviticus 19 specifically focuses on ethical behavior and consecration in daily life.
