i am not sure, but if the shut down has something to do with pay back for kicking a bunch of people off of benefits , it is the wrong way.  if people were kicked off of benefits, you should coach them on how to get back on benefits or direct them to another resource. if people were kicked off of benefits, it is not the right way to cancel remaining benefits for everyone else. i know there are people who are also not getting pay  and departments that are not getting funding. but i am mostly thinking about how you all put people out of a job and you are also going to cut access to food benefits.  there are already reports of people showing up to foodbanks that are out of food.
