Powerful words and powerful miracles astonish those around Jesus of Nazareth in chapter 24 of "The Story". Jesus gives the greatest commandment, He finds the lost, He silences the wind with a word, and beats back the devil's hold on this world by banishing demons, sicknesses and blindness. Then there comes the moment when one of His disciples is sinking and shouts, "Lord, save me!"  Jesus reaches out His hand. Through all these words and actions of our savior, we may begin to understand the meaning of the word "salvation" and why the ongoing work of Jesus through the church is so important.
