Episode Synopsis
The EmpressPart of the information in this episode was obtained through consulting Dr. Jean Chevalier's book and other sources. Remember to leave the swords at the counter before entering the language genius's house. This is Arcana. The Empress card is one of the most iconic cards in the Tarot. It represents feminine energy, creativity, abundance, and fertility. This card shows a woman sitting on a throne surrounded by nature and an atmosphere of tranquility and stability. In the Tarot deck, the Empress card symbolizes sovereign intelligence that confers power, the driving force that propels all living things, and the Uranian Venus of Greek mythology.Sitting on a throne the color of skin, with her face forward and white hair, she wears a blue tunic under a red dress, as if needing to envelop herself in blue to better understand hidden forces, and as if all her passionate and fiery activity, which is found in the red of her crown's background, should be elevated to a higher plane. In her right hand, she holds a shield of the same skin tone, on which a yellow eagle stands out, as well as her belt, necklace, zodiac-reminder diadem, and scepter. The yellow color symbolizes the spiritual forces that govern the world under her influence. The scepter is crowned by a globe and a cross, which is an alchemical symbol of antimony and represents the intellectual soul, the ascensional or spiritual influence, the spirit that separates from matter, evolution, and redemption. All aspects of the Empress highlight her radiant strength. But she is an ambivalent figure whose power can be perverted in the form of vain seduction or elevated to the pinnacle of the most sublime idealization. She represents all the riches of femininity (ideal, sweetness, persuasion), but also all its volatility. Her means of action are not directed directly at the spirit, but at affectivity: they have more charm than reason. The Empress is associated with Venus. Venus is the planet of love, beauty, and harmony, and its influence can be felt in the Empress card. Venus is also related to self-love and self-expression, and this is reflected in the image of the card, where the Empress is shown confident and self-assured.Alchemy is about transforming matter into something more valuable, and the Empress represents the creative energy needed to carry out this transformation. In the Rider-Waite card, we see the Empress surrounded by nature and abundance, suggesting a process of growth and development. The Empress is associated with the number three."In Tarot, The Empress is a card of power and abundance. It represents feminine energy and relates to the idea of creation and manifestation. When it appears in a reading, it can suggest that it's time to connect with your creative energy and allow yourself to receive the abundance that the universe has to offer. The Empress card is one of the tarot cards that has undergone significant changes in its representation throughout history, and this is reflected in the Marseille Tarot and the Rider-Waite Tarot. Some of the main differences between the two cards are:- Posture and attitude: In the Marseille Tarot, The Empress is seated on a throne with her back straight and a calm expression on her face. In contrast, in the Rider-Waite Tarot, the Empress is shown sitting on a throne with crossed feet and open knees, suggesting a more relaxed and accessible attitude. Her posture is more informal, giving the impression of a maternal and protective figure. From what you hear, take what serves you.Arcana
