In 1977, an 8 year old Robin was walking home from school on the last day of the school year when she was kidnapped from her Virginia neighborhood, drugged and trafficked to Africa. Over the next three months she suffered immeasurable violence that lead to young Robin facing two near death experiences, remarkably, she also found the first true home and family within the rural Zimbabwean women who sang her back to life.
