April 26, 2025 ~ Todd Bettison grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration from Wayne State University. In 1994, he joined the Detroit Police Department as a patrol officer and has served as inspector captain, commander, deputy chief, assistant chief, and eventually first assistant in the Detroit Police Department.
