Listen "Arica Carter"
Episode Synopsis
She grew up in Long Beach, California and started out by spending time on the golf course with her Grandfather. Around eight years old, however, her cousins introduced her to basketball and ever since then it's been non-stop ball. Arica Carter is big on family, but her desire to compete at the very highest level encouraged her to take a leap of faith when she accepted a college scholarship to play at Louisville, a short thirty-one hour drive from home. Five years at Louisville, AC grew and matured into a consistent, classy, responsible student-athlete. At the end of her 5th year she was drafted into the WNBA by the Phoenix Mercury. All her hard work and perseverance had paid off and now she'd be sharing court time with the best in the world, aka, Diana Taurasi. AC ended up being waived by the Mercury but her journey continues, this time on an entirely different continent! Her college Spanish class never looked so good.
