Coach House books sent Gen and Jette an advanced reading copy of Paper Houses by Dominique Fortier and they fell in love with it immediately. It cleverly intertwined the life of Emily Dickinson with that of the narrator, blending fact and fiction.

Dickinson died of Bright’s disease but also heart failure? Medicine in 1886 may not have been that conclusive.

The French translation seems to mean Paper Towns but perhaps this was changed because of John Green’s Paper Towns novel? Also about the fictitious towns that map makers used to copyright their maps.
Emily’s sister-in-law was Susan and her friend was Sophia.
