I discuss several ways in which America has become a cult when it comes to interpreting the Constitution (especially the 1st and 2nd amendments), and how, in practice, white men get most of the benefit of the law and little of its punishment. I also talk about how disproportionate devotion to civic and religious tokens like the Pledge of Allegiance, the national anthem and the national motto, has led to division rather than unity, and in some cases has led to violence.
