Listen "Stolen Identity"
Episode Synopsis
Imagine renting your first apartment, or taking out your first loan, only to find out your credit has been destroyed. Axton Betz-Hamilton knows this feeling all too well. For years in East Central Indiana, she and her family were victims of identity theft. They had their mail stolen, fought with collection agencies, had their utilities turned off, and faced financial chaos as a result.
Today Betz-Hamilton is an expert on child identity theft. She joins us to talk about her memoir, and how other victims of the crime can find relief.
Produced by Matt Pelsor.
