Born Arlandis Tremel Hinton on January 23, 1975, in Compton, California, B.G. Knocc Out, known as Al Hasan Naqiyy after his conversion to Islam, is an American rapper and songwriter. He gained recognition for his collaboration on Eazy-E's 1993 single "Real Muthaphuckkin G's," a diss track aimed at Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.Born into the Nutty Blocc Crips gang, B.G. Knocc Out and his half-brother, Dresta, formed the rap duo BG Knocc Out & Dresta. They caught the attention of Ruthless Records, Eazy-E's label, and signed a recording deal.Their debut album, "Real Brothas," released in 1995, showcased their gritty rap style and Compton-bred authenticity. The album produced the single "No Peace," another diss track aimed at Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, further solidifying their reputation as West Coast gangsta rappers.In 1998, B.G. Knocc Out was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to ten years in prison. During his incarceration, he embraced Islam and adopted the name Al Hasan Naqiyy. He was released in 2006 and continued his rap career, releasing his solo album "Eazy-E's Protege" in 2011.B.G. Knocc Out's legacy is intertwined with the West Coast gangsta rap scene of the early 1990s. His raw, unapologetic lyrics and Compton-bred authenticity made him a significant figure in the genre's development. His collaboration with Eazy-E on "Real Muthaphuckkin G's" remains a landmark moment in hip-hop history.
