Belinda Clarke ventures out to the farm to meet Andrew Francis, Managing Director of Home Farm Nacton. Andrew has long been engaged with adopting innovation on farm and shares his thoughts on what has - or hasn't - worked, and what he wants to see on farm in the years ahead.Home Farm Nacton produces organic vegetables, red tractor certified and leaf marque crops in Suffolk. The farm is a patchwork of woodland, heath, grass and arable land and comprises 1,170 hectares on the historic Orwell Park Estate on the north bank of the Orwell estuary near Ipswich. In addition to which Home Farm Nacton farms contract partners farms, Comprising of 814 hectares as of 2019.Home Farm strive to use the best science available to us to help make crop production and landscape management decisions. Teaming with Research and academic partners allows them to put themselves as close as commercially possible to being able to constantly refine how they manage the land.
