Listen "Step By Step (A Short Poem)"
Episode Synopsis
Words:
One foot in front of the other
That's what I constantly say to myself when I wake up
See this little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine
At least that's what I think but 12 noon rolls around and, I'm already feeling discombobulated
My brain's racing, 30 mile an hour just trying to figure what I'm doing next
1. put pen to paper, make a plan to tick off
2. throw that all out cause life happens and I might not get round to it
3. put the pieces back together and hope I can get back to it tomorrow
The point i'm making is - I don't know tomorrow
Time is a construct but I didn't construct it, I'm a passerby, a passenger on this life highway looking out for signs of what's to come
Just like the 611 or the M-way leads to a preset destination, this highway's also leading somewhere and your waze might say that it's all random and just a bang but the constructed always points to the constructor, in this case the carpenter
It's all laid out in a carefully meticulous diagram of 66 books
spans over 2000 years, the truth laid bare for all to see
My to do list couldn't compare to the greatest work of nonfiction ever written of Glory, yesterday, today and forever
It tells me that mine is one that's being ordered by the carpenter and He's done what I could never do
I'm thinking about the tasks for the day and he took care of my deepest need so that I can say
One foot in front of the other, step by step, I've been redeemed, not by my to-do or done, but by something much greater, more beautiful, everlasting.
