These obstacles include high incarceration rates, violence, negative media generated stereotypes and a host of other challenges. From the medias perspective black men could be considered an endangered species. But is this a true reality?

Contrary to what you may see throughout our media, black men are actually positioned to experience unprecedented levels of success in America today. There are several organizations that are committed to supporting black men in reaching their full potential and former president Barack Obama has also committed to finding solutions to the multiplicity of challenges facing black men.
