Rommel M Ferrer:Retired LTC of Nevada Army National Guard G3. Deputy chief of staff plans operations and training. Ro was born in Manila, Philippines and immigrated to the US in 1986. He initially enlisted in the Marine Corp from 1991-1995 and then enlisted in the Nevada Army National Guard in 2004. Was commissioned as Second Lieutenant through Officer Candidate School in 2005. He commanded the Nevada Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion. He recently assumed the Nevada Army National Guard G3 duties and responsibilities. Previous Combat Deployments and Positions include:Platoon Leader with 221st Cavalry during Operation Iraqi Freedom Deployment in 2006 - 2007Company Commander with the 422nd Expeditionary Single Battalion during Operation Enduring Freedom. Afghanistan deployment from 2011-2012.Title 10 Program Manager in the National Guard Bureau G357 team from 2012-2016.G5 Contingency Planner from 2016-2017Title 32 Active Guard Reserves. Served as Nevada Army National Guard Deputy G3 full time and the 421st Regiment as S3 Operations Officer.MDAY from 2018-2021Attended National Defense University Senior Service College from 2021-2022Upon completion, Ro assumed command of the Nevada Army National Guard from 2022-2024 and recently appointed as the G3. His education includes Armor Officer Basic Course, Signal Captain Career Course, Squad Designated Marksman Training Officer Course, Security Operation Planner Course, Commander and General Staff Officer Course, and Senior Service College. Bachelors of Science Degree from Wayne State University, Michigan, Master of Arts Degree from Army Military University and a Master of Science degree from National Defense University.
