She gave him another smile and a calmness fell over him. Whatever he had heard would happen had subsided in him. With that he pulled a lever that was connected to the door of the cell and it slowly slid open. The woman stood in front of the open cell and stared at the man inside, only to turn toward the man in the darkness to say, “Please come closer so that you can watch as this traitor finally atones for his treachery.” Out of the darkness walked a man that was clothed in a robe that was scarlet and ebony in color. He walked slowly, but with a hint of cheerfulness. Just moments before he had been worried that he had done something that had offended her, and now she was inviting him into her good graces. As he walked up to her he could not contain his gratitude. “Thank you so much for this honor, I cannot tell you how grateful I”, but before he could finish his sentence the woman plunged a dagger into his chest. Mortified, with his breath muffled by the blood that was coughing up, the man asked “Why, I only wanted the best for you?” The woman screamed in rage with her reply. “BECAUSE I REGRET NOTHING!! AND HOW DARE YOU FEEL LIKE IT IS YOUR PLACE TO KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR ME. I AM THE ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT IS BEST. I AM THE ONE WHO DOES ALL OF THIS FOR HIM.
