A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a classic novella about Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and cold-hearted man who despises Christmas and human connection. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways or face eternal suffering.

Throughout the night, Scrooge is visited by three spirits: the Ghost of Christmas Past, who shows him scenes from his own life that shaped his bitterness; the Ghost of Christmas Present, who reveals the joy and struggles of those around him; and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, who forewarns a grim future if Scrooge continues his selfish life.

These visions transform Scrooge, and by Christmas morning, he becomes a generous, kind-hearted man, spreading joy and goodwill to all, especially his underpaid clerk, Bob Cratchit, and Cratchit’s ailing son, Tiny Tim. The story is a timeless tale of redemption, compassion, and the true spirit of Christmas.
