In this episode of 8-bit Monsters' Monster Deconstruction for D&D 5e we look over the Gray Ooze and it's metal eating qualities. Although this ooze isn't much to look at in terms of DCR and OCR. The real fun is the metal eating traits it has, even though it doesn't effect the final CR for it. Damaging a players non-magical metal armor and weapons is pretty hilarious. Besides that, this ooze has the typical lower DCR and high OCR. Come take a listen and see how this ooze's traits affect the FCR!

The idea of this podcast is to break monsters down into their bare components: DCR & OCR. These two values will allow us to see how strong they are and to see where D&D got the CR values from. I'm doing this because all too often, players skip right to level 3 to avoid the hell levels and possibly end up dead. Generally, each monster is a balancing act that isn't equal to the final value.
