Study of the sermon taught to the Nephites at the temple, parts of which are nearly identical to the King James version of the Sermon on the Mount. We discuss reasons as to why that might be the case and closely look at some of the differences. We then consider ways in which the teachings that follow the Sermon on the Mount chapters in 3 Nephite further expound and elaborate on the Sermon chapters, providing students of The Book of Mormon with additional insights into the Sermon on the Mount and how those teaching have specific applicability to the Nephites.
