God bless you.Main Scriptures: 1 Peter 3: 14-19 is Illustrated by Revelation 2-3, note specificallyRevelation 3:14-22In verse 20 Jesus or His missionary representative are pictured outside of theChurch in Laodicea, knocking on a closed, shut door asking to re-enter. And surprisingly not to punish but to banquet with them. This is the church which among the seven in Asia Minor that are located along the same general area that Jesus is nauseated with(verse 16). Yet He desires to re-enter the fellowship with them.They have a totally different estimation of themselves than Jesus(verse 17) Outof all the seven congregations, two were good(Smyrna & Philadelphia) four, not so good but only one that nauseated Him. And the worse part of this was they were blind to their condition(verse 17). What put Jesus outside of their fellowship? A few suggestions gleaned from 3:14-22 and from the rebukes of the other churches.
