These are the ones who cause division, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.
In context
17But you, dear friends—call to mind what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ told you beforehand. 18They told you, “In the final age there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly desires.” 19These are the ones who cause division, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. 20But you, dear friends: let your most holy faith be the foundation you build on, and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves within God’s love, watching for our Lord Jesus Christ to show you the mercy that leads to eternal life.
