This Way or Not?

We often say, “This is the way I am.”Or, “That’s just the way he is… that’s just the way she is.”But what are we really saying?Let me give you an example.When a baker bakes a cake, that creation is not truly known until it is brought out and exposed to the senses. It is seen, smelled, tasted. It fulfills its purpose when it is shared, celebrated, and enjoyed.When an artist creates a piece of art, it is not meant to remain hidden in the studio. It is meant to be displayed, admired, and to move the hearts of those who see it. It exists to impact life.Both the cake and the artwork were created with intention. With purpose.And so were you.And so was I.We were created with purpose, the purpose of sharing love, of reflecting beauty, of manifesting the unique design placed within us by our Creator.So when we say, “This is just the way I am,” we must ask ourselves:Are we accepting who we are… or are we limiting what we can become?If a cake is damaged, the baker can repair it.If a painting feels incomplete, the artist can return to it, add detail, deepen the colors, even transform the entire piece. The creator always has the authority to refine what has been made.The same is true for us.Who knows the messes we have made of our lives?Who knows the mistakes, the poor decisions, the broken seasons?We know. And God knows.But HE is the only one who can truly transform us.When we declare, “This is the way I am,” as a final statement, we are, maybe without realizing it, suggesting that the Author can no longer shape us, refine us, or restore us.And yet… He can.Today is a good day to remember that our Creator has not changed His purpose. His intention for us still stands. He is not finished with His work.This is not the end because HE is still making all things new.!
