5Dear friend, you show faithfulness in everything you do for the brothers and sisters, especially when they are strangers to you. 6They have told the church of your love, and you will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7After all, they set out for the sake of the Name, refusing any support from the Gentiles. 8It is only right, then, for us to support people like these, so that we may become co-workers for the truth. 9I wrote something to the church. But Diotrephes — who loves nothing more than being first among them — refuses to welcome us.
