SUBTRONICA's name was inspired by electronic music that is diluted with classical elements to create emotive and melodic synth-pop.
Herman Nainkin is the composer, arranger, performer & producer in Los Angeles, California. He is a spirited dreamer and creator who enjoys the melody, harmony, noise, and dissonance of sound.
Inspired by by African vibes (was born in South Africa), classical elements (mother a classical pianist) and retro pop from 80s & 90s.

Jake has produced and performed in many highly regarded and successful tribute projects of Depeche Mode (via Blasphemous Rumours and Strangelove), The Human League (via Fascination), Blondie (via Atomic Blond) and toured & performed across the USA in many esteemed venues.
Its true, ooh ooh ooh, in 1994 Jake played live synths for Ray Horton, the voice you heard on Milli Vanilli's Blame It On The Rain. He really did sing!
