When were kids
They told us stories of awful and evil things

It's not the shadows in the night

The most nefarious in the land
Is man

Money high
Power drunk
Committing atrocities
And not giving one single solitary fuck

They'd shoot you right between the eyes without flinching
If it gave them an ounce more power
Bathe in the blood of those you love
If it gave them another hour
