Some time ago
I said no more
No more time would I give to the rack

So I started piling
Anything I could find
Until my hands were too useless to climb

But in that deep well
I came to know hell

Now I am unable to find the words to say how sorry I am for keeping you away
For fear that you’d hurt me
or worse I would drag you down
to my home of brick and bone

I screamed for years
Stayed clean bathing in my tears
But then I laid on that cold ground and fell hard to sleep

I woke to find
My body and my mind
Had been healing for a very long time

My will like steel and hands like stone
I punched through that brick and bone

Now I am unable to find the words to say how sorry I am for keeping you away
For fear you’d hurt me
or worse I would drag you down
but now I know I need you around
